well thats gonna be hard unless you have some pretty sweet coupons. a good ideal gaming dell laptop is probably gonna cost you more than a $1000

Look at the Dell Vostro 1500 or Inspiron 1520. Use the Dell coupons to lower the price.

    Listen to this man.

The vostro 1500 or inspiron 1520 is where your going to need to look for that price range.

Hcw must be on the juice because theres no way in hell you'll be able to build a m1330 worth gaming on for $1000.

    -an inspiron 1520
    -get the 8600GT for sure
-lower the ram to 1GB and just 2GB sticks off newegg
    -find coupons
-talk to them to minimize price
-for gaming: graphic card > ram > processor > hard drive
-processor try to get a 1.8 or 2.0 but im not sure exactly what you would be able to upgrade with $1000... again call them =)

i hate how the US has massive coupons AND free upgrades lol =/ canada the max coupon is $150 or $200 (and remember that $1 american > $1 cdn) and little to no free upgrades... in canada the same specs would probably be $1500 at best =/
