    does the dell inspiron 1520 have gddr2 or gddr3?

    The Geforce 8600GT has DDR2. You can check on the Dell website- when you're on the main Inspiron 1520 page, click on the "Tech Specs" tab.

    Its not "bad" but it isn't "the best." Alot of people were disappointed because they expected ddr3 but got ddr2 instead. The ddr3 version of the card is indeed faster but the 8600m gt w/ ddr2 still smokes the 8400 out of the water.
