The x1400 is a better card for less money. Other than that looks like a nice setup. I can't really comment on the price as I haven't kept up to date with coupons/dell's pricing lately.

Edit: consider saving some money by going down to the 2.0 GHz C2D. Likely you will never notice the difference.

Unfortunately, no. I would recommend lowering the processor to the 2GHz, upping the RAM to at least 1GB, and swapping the nVidia 7300 for the ATi x1400. Then, look at the coupons at the top of the page and see what you can get from there.

    Are you serious?
Almost everything is from the basic setup. It's way to expensive

    does dell have the x1400?

i could drop the processor speed to compensate for the card but there doesn't seem to be a lot of selections with a 2.0ghz dual core 2 processor and the x1400 plus wireless built-in and bluetooth

No. The t7400 is pretty much the top of the heap for notebooks right now. The 2.16 will not give you a noticeable boost in performance.

you can buy a car for the price of a 2.33ghz processor ;)

you are unlikely to notice any difference between 2ghz and 2ghz+ processors simply because 2ghz should be plenty for whatever you're doing.

No. The only reason I have it is because I got a deal on this system and it's what it came with.
