    yO! i got my refurb'd Studio 1535 T9300 3gb 256mb 320gbhd LED WXGA+ !
    stokedd!

havent had too much time to play with it yet, so really just digging in now.

    initial impressions:
-keyboard is really nice. i havent noticed any of the flex that some people described.
    - im not a huge fan of the trackpad... i guess i just got used to a mac before this. ill get used to it, no biggie.
    - the fingerprint reader is pretty difficult! ha, it sounds ridiculous, but i had a hell of a time creating fingerprints. i am getting the hang of it. =D
    - the spilled milk look is ehhh, weird.

    - the screen is beautiful.. but i havent been able to find any information on it. where can i see details of the LED hardware on the comp?
.. ive been off PCs for over a year and have never used vista

i am going back and forth on whether or not to do the bloatware removal guide. i am really just not in the mood for the formatting reinstalling everything process.. then again, i dont want to regret not doing it in 6 months when i have a ton of data and programs on here.. what do you think? necessary or not? HD space is not really an issue. what about performance?

wOrd , more to come. thanks! =D

Assuming you have the OS cd. I'd just do a format and reinstall. it doesn't take long and I like to have a clean computer.

to find out LCD manufacturer, go to my computer, system properties, device manager, click the drop down for monitor, it should say "generic PnP monitor, right click that, go to properties, go to the details tab, and then click the "hardware ID's

    LPL = LG

You can do the format ad reinstall, but if your machine is like mine when I got it there wasn't a hint of bloatware. I only formatted to throw on 64-Bit Ultimate.

If it even has bloatware, you might try this: http://pcdecrapifier.com/

I have used an older version and it worked pretty well.

    thanks!

i did the process last night... only a few remaining snags... I have one Unknown Device in my device manager...

    Intel(R) ICH8R LPC Interface Controller

I've tried everything I can think of... I've installed the Intel Matrix drivers numerous times. Can't get it to register. I have seen people mention it went away with IR Remote driver install but I haven't been able to succeed with this either.

I haven't noticed any differences, so I'm hoping I can resolve that issue and be back to square one, bloat free...

My packaging slip definitely says LG Phillips screen so if anything goes wrong I am definitely going back on that.

Don't bother installing. You already have the latest version IMSM avail.
