    got my laptop VERY fast from dell

    ordered my laptop on 10/14/07 and got it on the morning of 10/19 07 .

    i have read alot of bad things about how long it takes to get a dell. but i have to say im very very happy with dell...super fast shipping...i ordered from the website btw.

    now i hape i have a good screen.

    did you take modifications? My dad got his pretty quick too but it seems that once you change a component, it's the other side of the story...

    1gb ram
    black color



    no webcam because i could never ever ever see myself using it. also i didnt like how it made the inside of the case look.

    1gb of ram because i have 4mb on its way from newegg :)

    Dell is very quick if they have all the parts available.
    The problem is when there are shortages of certain parts.... And with the lids there have been manufacturing difficulties with some colors.

    I was impressed at the speed too.

    When I ordered mine, the website said there was a 1-2week wait on the 250GB HDD's. Mind, the sales rep didn't mention anything about it.

    I ordered on Friday the 12th, and received it exactly one week and a half hour later, on Friday the 19th (Yesterday).

    It's a relief to be shown that the unhappy are mostly a vocal minority, whereas the happy are a quiet majority.

    dont know if this falls under the same category... but i just ordered my replacement today and it will be shipped on monday (so it says on the dell status site)
