I posted last week about how my m1330 had fried and was showing colored vertical lines on the screen. This happened just before I was about to leave the country, so I wasn't able to get it fixed in the US.

I had a few days in Kolkata, India so I called the Dell XPS line there. I got a very efficient guy (sounded SE Asian, not Indian, so maybe in Malaysia or somewhere) who said "Oh yes, you have an international warranty". He airfreighted a new motherboard to Dell in Kolkata (actually a contractor, Wipro, but they had paperwork saying Dell). I didn't get next-day service, but a guy turned up in three days, he knew his stuff, he squatted on the bed and spread all the parts around on the bedspread as he worked. Everything works perfectly now. No hassle at all. A good job all around.

When I got my procesor replaced from DELL, a Wipro guy dissembled my notebook, each and every part was lying on my bed! To be honest, I was **** scared. But he did everything right without a hiccup!

That's wicked, I wonder if part of their job interview is taking the things apart and fixing them on the managers bed lol.
