i bought all the parts to do the heat mod for my laptop... the only problem is... the temperature for the hard drive, cpu, and the gpu have never gone >55 celsius. ive played a couple of hours of counterstrike with max widescreen resolution and stuff, but it seems to be hovering around that temp. so i was wondering what the hell is wrong with my laptop, since everyone elses i8600 seems to become a frying pan when they play games. Also, since i have the parts, maybe i shud do the mod anyway?

[also i read somewhere that when the power isnt plugged in, the centrino runs at 800 mhz... is this true and can i turn the function off?]

When your on battery mode, simply click on your Dell Quickset icon (its in the tray on the right). Just turn the settings to Maximum Performance instead of Maximum Battery.
