You would just need a mobile broadband card that supports MTN. The sim card slot should not know the difference between vendors.

First off, you need to make sure that there is actually a Mobile Broadband modem in the the laptop. Otherwise, you just have a sim card slot connected to nothing. If the computer was not ordered from dell with Mobile broadband service, there is not a modem installed. If this is the case, you can pick them up on ebay for a reasonable price. If you know for sure that there is a modem in the computer, it should just be a case of manually changing the APN settings to that of your provider. They work a bit differently than a cell phone. I don't think you need a subsidy unlock or anything like that.
