AN INQ READER said Dell has told him it's suffering a shortage of keyboards after he asked for a replacement for his M1330.
After telling Jon T that they'd shipped him a replacement a week before, they then told him there was a shortage. Perhaps they were hunting for the elusive letter "e" or "s"?
Said Jon: "One wonders if the dreadful keyboard drought is affecting all their notebooks, or only shipments of the M1330 (the model I'm waiting for). Is this a worldwide shortage, or only Ireland? Only customers in South Africa? Only perhaps it's only international CompleteCare customers. Inquiring minds want to know.
"Poor Dell. Maybe they could borrow some keyboards from Lenovo to tide them over?" µ

It probably is a shortage of the spill proof sealed off keyboards.

Hey Xie, I ordered the exact same notebook as you. It costs me $900 more. It really sucks how much the cost can vary from Canada to US.
-
Canada/US pricing is insane, but I also got in on a pricing error/coupon mistake to get the cost down. It's about $1550 on Dell USA right now if you configure it the same way.

I might have to reorder -
You never got an order number, right?
-
$900 more is a pretty big diffrence -
I just placed a re-order and still have not got my new order # shipped!
It would be nice to save a few bucks but I am happy with what I am paying. I have never had a problem with Dell and it has everything I want in a notebook.
If I had purchased it in a store it would be pretty close to the same price anyway.
Looking forward to it! -
Iceman0124 More news from nowhere
It amazes me how many people read the INQ, after all the years of misinformation and flat out lies that has come out of it, it should have run its course by now, but instead I see it cited more than ever.

Iceman, you look like a scottish soccer-hooligan
haha! Did anyone see this:
