    well this contributes to safe handling of ur dell studio 15 so that it lives for much more time..
    1. the foremost thing is let the thing breathe ..! donot at any cost place lappy on a pillow or a place that covers the base... keep it flat so that air can move freely beneath the lap..

    2. screen ~ DONOT clean the screen using water.. use a soft cloth and 50 % alcohol mixture...

    .. any more ideas appreciated...! ;)

    I wouldn't recommend alcohol for cleaning a plastic screen. Alcohol can discolor many plastics.

    Indeed. Just use a very slightly damp cloth (water only) and wipe it clean. And for god's sake, don't try Windex!

    I've never had a problem with alcohol cleaning screens since I have had laptops.
