I don't think that will work. The M1210 has a Serial ATA hard drive, which means you will have to buy another SATA hard drive. At least, this is as far as I know. I'm pretty sure PATA hard drives will not work.

Don't go crazy on us! You have the SATA drive. You can only replace it with a SATA drive. You have a few choices with make, size, and speed and cost.

What do you plan to do with your old (80 gig?) internal drive?

its confusing as some of the descriptions on zzf say it supports both, but then in another block on the same page it says pata, the model # is one character off when comparing it to newegg with the sata filter, a as opposed to b, wich sucks, zzfs drive is 20 bucks cheaper, no s&h, and no sales tax, newegg charges shipping and I have to pay sales tax,

right now I have a 60 gig 5400rpm, I was planning on getting an external usb enclosure for it , it was an outlet purchase core2 t5600,2gig 667,dvd/rw,gf7400,and ms office small buis for under a grand shipped, wich was a hell of a deal, only thing I need to upgrade is the hd, and space/price has priority over speed

Shut down and pull your drive, 2 screws? It should slide out on the carrier.

IDE drives have a long 50 pin keyed slot, and 4 pin power, SATA's do not. You can also read the drive specs as well on the drive depending how it's mounted.

You will have to find a SATA to USB case. I don't know anything about these, all mine are IDE to USB.
