im looking to replace my ac adapter because it died out. somebody in this forum recommended to look took at laptopparts360.com. i searched the ac adapter for my xpx m1530 and found this:
    http://laptopparts360.com/products/26527/ac-90w-dell-4.html

in the picture, it says a dell adapter but im little skeptical about it. it would really be nice if it really was a original dell ac adapter but i doubt it. im kind of hesitant to buy a third-party ac adapter because its cheaply made. i was wondering if anyone had any idea of the product in this website being legitimate and the link to be a really dell product. any help would be appreciated.

If I were you, I would stay away from this site.

    See this: http://whois.domaintools.com/laptopparts360.com

The WhoIs protected. The site has only been registered since 5/09.

The only contact is a gmail account & there is no "contact information"

Not good signs for a "reputable" company.

Indeed I'd only recommend a genuine Dell power adapter.

Good evening to everyone. I have found this topic and decided to make everything clearer on this question. First of all let me introduce myself: I am the owner of this company for many years.
You have mentioned that our company is not trustful because the website is registered only in 2009. I would say that the age of website can't show anything in this case. We are working since 2004 successfully but we had only changed our domain name in 2009, that's why it is quite new for you. Moreover I want to say few words about whois protection. We have made it in order to avoid spammers and other bad people. All contact information you can easily find on our website in section "Contact Us".
Talking about laptop parts on our website - all of them are 100% genuine and original. We don't sell fake parts or something like that and we didn't do that ever. I am sure that you won't find any dissatisfied person who had bought any detail from us in the internet. We have always tried to be the best for our clients and we always read the comments related to our company in order to correct all mistakes (if there are ones).
I hope everything is more clear now and in the future we will be able to avoid these misunderstandings.

    Hi Gentlemen

I really hope the first guy who initiated this topic has been pleased with his financial operation with laptopparts360.com ...
I'm wondering ... let me explain a little bit:
I'm looking for a DELL peripheral discontinued for two years.
Using searching engines on the web I found at exactly same price this peripheral. It was also available on e_bay as second hand (and 10% of the price) with no internationnal shipping.
The two sites are: laptopparts360.com and portableupgrader.com
Apart from the price the common thing is the phone support number: 732-603-0010

Same price, same phone number ... means a lot isn't it ? using whois on the second web site reports the owner is in Kiev / Ukraine (but Russia Internet location).
    I really miss transparency there ... or ... glasnost ... ?

So if anybody can witness laptopparts360 is ok, and can explain how they can sell brand new discontinued goodies.
    Regards

Ok... First of all the last two posts are the same person (laptopparts360 and European fellow). I don't know what the "owner" is trying to do, but if he thinks he can fool everyone in this forum it's a bit insulting. I'm not saying there is anything wrong with this company (I'm not saying there's not either) but why would you come on pretending to be someone else just to boost the image of your company? If you owned a company would you be going on forums explaining your whois status or would you be advertising? Exactly...

I'm sitting on the edge of my seat already.

    Hello

Interesting that you didn't mention what site you were using before... Why did you change your domain name... was it because you had abysmal site ratings? Inquiring minds want to know!

Your contact address is a box at a UPS store in Jersey City... This isn't looking too promising.

You already attempted to mislead this community in this thread... we should trust you why?

It probably helps to write your own reviews.

    9 months going strong!

I'm clear and I hope everyone else here is too.

Certainly not, reread my previous post.

Also I did find quite a lot of other shadow sites in US and in UK with exact same lists of discontinued products ...
I definitively warn people against such sites: the phone number is a good tracker for that.
