    having performance change based on power source?

    i want my laptop to automatically change to lower bright screen, and lower CPU, etc.. just by pulling the power plug.
    is this possible.
    cause even when i'm plugged in, if i was previously in the "quickset max. battery" mode, i'll still be running at 1ghz.
    i know ATI does this in their driver automatically, but how about the cpu (i think the screen changes by itseld too,)

    If Windows power management doesn't satisfy your needs, try Notebook Hardware Control. It has it's own power management profiles. Good stuff.
