    hello everyone,
i have the dell latitude E6410.
i always had it with bios password, couple of days ago i changed the password and now cannot remember what i typed.

got this screen when i boot up

so i call dell and they gave me admin pasword

after that i get another popup that asked for hdd password, so i called dell again and got hdd password, typed it in and this came up

anyway, not afraid to loose anything since i do backups on desktop pc i pressed ok and secure manager started erasing

first it said it will take 12 min, but when it was on for few hours i called dell again and they said it might take longer than few hours.
its been 48hrs now and its still going
anyone ever had this issue before?

It will depend on how thorough the program is and the size of the disk, I would think. I used DBAN on a 20gb drive and it took about 75 minutes. 48 hours seems a bit ridiculous. How big is the HDD, 3TB lol
