Provided your TV has an HDMI port?

Plug a HDMI cable into the Dell and the TV.

One of two things is going to happen: 1. Windows 7 picks it up and sees it as an additional monitor.

    2. Press Windows P and select it.

Otherwise, you will need to configure it in the display settings. You might be able to press Fn+F8 to get it to switch to the TV.

Keep in mind that the HDMI most likely doesn't pass sound so you will need a cable for that. A headphone jack to RCA cable normally works.
