    Hi guys,

I'm going to buy m1330 this week and I decided to go with x3100. I'm going to use it for sw dev, I don't play games. As I need a fast responding environment, I will not need Areo flying maxi blinking windows and etc, so X3100's power should be enough for me.

I was also looking for 14,1 Lenovo T61, but this HDMI on m1330 is what I'd like to have, too.

    And here is my question...

Is there any difference in picture quality and/or video decoding performance (Full HD content) between X3100 and 8400gs when using HDMI output? I'd like to use it do play movies on LCD TV in 1080p resolution.

I couldn't find any comparison chart of X3100 and 8400gs regarding HDMI output.

For sure I'm going to get this laptop from Dell's Outlet (You can have almost any configuration you can think of for at least $300 less than regular order), but they have two gfx options there:
    - Intel Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator 3000
    - 8400 gs.

They just use "Intel Integrated Graphics Media Accelerator 3000" for X3100 or what? I thought GMA3000 and X3100 where different chips.

    Any advice appreciated :)

    Thanks,
    Suter

HDMI is available with both configurations (found it on this forum).
I just want to know if there is any difference in picture quality/decoding performance of Full HD content through HDMI.
