i have an inspiron 1520 with 1 gb ram. i have noticed that all other people with 2gb ram have so far had no heating problems. but my laptop gets pretty hot in 10 min. the ram usage meter on my desktop shows 50-55% use even when idle. is it vista running on 1 gb ram that might be the problem??

maybe its cause the HD has to run more often since you only have 1gb of ram

but thats odd, unless you do use over 1gb of ram and thus your hd has to spin and spool up for page files and what not
