    Hi all,

A couple days ago I was reading a thread on this board that was a guide/checklist of sorts for when someone gets a new dell notebook. I was going to send this thread to a friend, but now I cannot find it for the life of me.

    Can anyone help?

do you know what it had in it? I'm not exactly sure what you are talking about. I remember a couple of threads about what drivers you needed to reinstall, or the reformat process for new inspirons. Could it have been that?

It was like a checklist of things to do when you receive a new dell notebook.

For example compare actual hardware via Device Manager to invoice, verify service information is correct by calling dell service, testing the cd/dvd burner, etc...

I could swear there was a generic thread for all dell notebooks, and then there were links for specific models , i6000, i9300, etc...

ok, apparently I'm special (aka retarded). That is exactly what I was looking for, except I don't remember ever going to that site before, but that is the thread, so I must've been there.

    Thanks for your help.
