I read the manual about installing memory and it says you have to remove the battery, video card, optical drive, hardrive. Do i really need to take all these things out just to put in a memory ram?

Well, since no one else is saying anything, no. I'd take out the battery to be safe, but you'll be just fine other than that. That's just one of those things they say so if that 1 in a million chance happens that something goes wrong, it's your fault for not following directions. You'll be fine.

Simply removing the battery should be fine. I've upgraded memory on 3 of my notebooks without any glitches.
