    hi I am about to change mi dell vostro 1500 prosesor, but I need help choseing between these:
    1. Intel Core2 Duo T8100 2.1GHz 3MB L2 Cache Socket P 35W Dual-Core Processor = $219.99

    2. Intel Core2 Duo T9300 2.5GHz 6MB L2 Cache Socket P 35W Dual-Core Processor= $340.00

    Without a clue as to your plans with it, it's hard to help. I think for most people, the T8100 is enough unless you have a specific need.

    In most cases, that is, unless you do [insert CPU intensive task, e.g. encoding video here] for a living, the T8100 should be more than sufficient.

    Personally, the 400MHz and twice the cache is worth the extra $120. I'd go with the 9300. My rule of thumb is get as much processor and video card as you can afford at time of purchase. These two items are pretty much what you'll be stuck with for the notebook's lifetime. Hard drives and RAM can always be upgraded later.

    nvidia geforce 8400m gs
    c2d t5270
    4g of ram

    If you're even planning on gaming, get at least the 8600M GT.

    yes I know but i cant find a place where they sell it! and also I think that mi procesor is worst!

    lol, but do you thinck that the T9300 would help mi laptop on games, and also does these processor fits on mi dell vostro 1500??

    The most important part when gaming is the graphics, by a wide margin.

    Get the cheaper CPU. The other one is slightly faster but definitely not worth the price difference. For games it would just give you a tiny increase in the frames per second (as said above, games depend mostly on the graphics card).
