Hi guys, I am a newbie here and this is my second post and I absolutely think this is the best notebook forum on the web.

My dilemma is that I am really torn between getting the XGA and SXGA+ for the 14 inch D600.

I have read through every thread on the debate between those two resolutions on this and other forums and, not surprisingly, there are strong proponents for both sides. In addition, I have search web in vain trying to find a screen shot for SXGA+ for a 14 inch display. And I can't go a to Dell store because there isn't one in NY state.

I have seen the XGA on 14", but I am not sure how SXGA+ would look like.

I would really really appreciate it if someone has a D600 or a 14 inch LCD display with SXGA+ resolution can take a screenshot and post it here.

    Many thanks in advance.[ :)]

    Thank you very much, gospastic.

That really helps a lot. I have decided to go with SXGA+. The font size is actually pretty nice for 1400x1050 on a 14 inch.

i agree. although it's somewhat tiny, i'm very used to small font sizes. i run 1520x1140 on my 17" crt monitor at home, and it's fine for me.

in conjunction with cleartype, reading fonts should be no problem. it also seems that text is crisper on lcds in general.
