Normally or rather shud i say by default the media keys in the front control all the media stuff and the volume control buttons used to bring up a visual bar showing you your volume and such. I dont have that anymore so...i dont know how to fix it. can someone help me thanks!

Just install that Dell QuickSet utility from the Drivers and Resources DVD and everything should be working back fine again.... ;)

Note that even without that utility the volume control, brightness control and all will work fine but it will just not display that bar on the screen thats all :D
