    help w/ loose screen

    hi everyone. i tried searching but i don't think i'm using the best keywords.

    the screen on my inspiron 1505 recently has gotten very loose. when i try to adjust the tilt (or viewing angle), it'll just fall back about half an inch. what screws do i need to tighten or what do i need to do? thanks.

    I think some of the screws holding the lid in place are a bit loose. You could try tightening the screws near the bottom of the lid. They are covered by those rubber seperators, just remove them with your finger and you should see some a screw behind them.

    If those screws won't do anything to the tightness of the lid you will probably have to remove the LCD-bezel and thighten the screws holding the hinges in place. Just make sure you don't break anything while you do this though.

    If you do not want to remove the bezel, or none of the above help give Dell a call and they should be able to help.
