ok so below the touchpad on the 1520 there are two buttons, one for the left mouse click and one for the right. my right button is working properly, it clicks properly. but my left buttons does not click when i press it, i think that something is stuck down there and because of this even the lightest touch on the left button will cuause it to make the mouse click. i think you guys know what im talking about. its really annoying because sometimes i just place my finger on top of the button without clicking it and then still activates and its selecting stuff on my comp and somethings every dragging them when i move th e touchpad.

SO IS THERE ANYWAY I CAN OPEN UP SO I CAN FIX THE MOUSE BUTTONS? TO GET RID OF WHAT'S STUCK UNDER IT? i mean you can take out the keyboard and stuff i in the manual i don't see any way to take out the mouse buttons under the touchpad.

Dell provides instructions as to how to remove the palmrest on the 1520.

Once you get the palmrest off, you may be able to access the touchpad and buttons themselves (though you'll have to play with it a bit; Dell doesn't provide instructions here) and try to clean out whatever is stuck under there.

In a worst-case scenario, you can just replace the entire palmrest; eBay has quite a few and they're generally not that expensive either.
