    hi i was wondering if it's ok if i let my m1330 idle for long times without shutting it down? would that cause any damage to my notebook? thanks in advance

    Just put the thing in sleep mode. How long exactly?

    I agree sleep mode would be my choice also. But I am thinking that your laptop should not get hot just idling. So I doubt damage would be done. It should run cool with no HD or Processor activity.
