ok this is the thing, i have a dell inspiron 1520 (obviously) and the other day my cousin was "playing" with my pc (i didn't know that until today -.-)
and well he "mistakingly" pressed on the "pcrecovery" button on the recovery partition (the dell's one) and well HE WAS ABOUT TO FORMAT MY PC! because he "mistakingly" pressed all the "let's do it" buttons o_O
ok well today i wanted to format my pc because it was time already XD ;) :p

but guess what? now when i start the pcrecovery from the tools file on the recovery partition... BOOM a pop-up comes and i could read "acces to tools\dp.sc denied   and well i started reading forums (even de dell ones.. apparently i'm not the only one with that same problem... in fact is quite common i think...:confused2: :err: )

and they said that pressing f8 when starting the pc and then selecting the repair pc option and then recovery image... would fix it... but i tried it and NOTHING! still got that buggin' pop-up!!

well here's the thing... i believe some file must have been created once my cousin clicked on the pcrecovery icon and suddenly he closed it after the process had begun or something... cause he told me the blue bar was already reaching the top when he closed it! (the pcrecovery process bar the one that says "formatting the unit" or something like that)

can u people help me?, i mean i tried EVERYTHING!! i even chatted with a technician or those on the tech support on dell's webpage and they didn't come up with a solution :S

please if u have the TOOL folder for the inspiron 1520 windows vista home basic or the complete recovery partition's files!! pleeeaaaasseee i really need it!, or come up with a solution.. that would help a lot too!!

BTW i was running on an administrator account! (on ms dos netuser administrador activate :eek:n) (im from venezuela...)

i tried running from the cd too!
