    ahh old lap top just totally crash and burned and i decided its time for a new one but i am on a TIGHT budget....(trying to spend under 800) I came across the Dell Inspiron 1000. I am very interested in it and was wondering what you all thought of it? PLllzzzz help me out here....i have no idea what im doing! I dont need it for anything speical just to help me with school wrk and im on dial up sooo? Thanks! Jessica.

    I know this is a Dell sight, but I really think this is the best laptop for under $800, tax and all. I just got one for my wife, and it's amazing. It's built much better than my i8600, and competes pretty well with it in just about every other way as well. Hope this helps.
