i received my 1720 only to find that the battery has problems.i am exchanging this for a new one, and wanted to know if these ones come faster than other orders, since it is for an exchange .thanks
it is been killing me for the fact that i have to wait longer for it now

my replacement was supposed to show up within 8 days. it has been about 20 days now. the replacement will show up in your recent orders the day or day after it's ordered. if it doesn't show up there, call them on it. that's what i had to do. i had to call back and ***** 3 times just to get them to send the replacement. yay dell.

i dont know if it was the battery.here is the problem
with the ac adapter, the computer works fine and fast.once you work on battery, it sometimes doesnt even boot up to vista!if it even does, it takes around 20 minutes!the to load the desktop is another 10 minutes.to load a page is around 5 minutes, which is way too much. i called tech support, and they did the thing that takes control of your computer.he did a few things that i already did, and nothing changed.i told him that i think it is the battery, but he said just return the whole thing, so i said, ok why not! -

GET MAD.... IT WORKS.... dont let them say okay thanks keep talking, you need to show them you WANT a discount... if that doesnt wor tell the csr this is not getting you ANYWHERE I WANT TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR.. one you get them on the phone tell them the same... dont let them get anywhere... then tell them youd like to speak to dell's escalation group this doesnt always work but they will know you serious...
