I recently noticed that my M1710 makes a high pitch noice when i scroll a directory with a lot of files in it.

Is this something i should be worried about?

no, its just voltages within the CPU or northbridge/southbridge chipsets changing...

if you run your computer on "high performance" the noise should decrease some.

Okay thats a relief, my laptop always made a high pitch sound when idle but i never heard it as high as this or been able to make it do it on demand.

Nice to hear i don't have to worry about it. :)

    Many thanks.
