hey this my first post. i came for a some help with my inspiron 600m.

i'm not sure how it happened but the place where you plug the battery adaptor in is broken so the battery can't charge. it seems like it's loose but im no computer expert so i have no idea what the problem is.

i called dell support and all they said was the warranty is expired and i need a new motherboard. before i follow through with getting it fixed i need a second opinion.

    any help would be great.

    thanks.

Need more info about your issue.
If you can, some photos would help.

    What exactly is broken?

Go to egay to get a new adapter. They usually are very cheap.

It is most likely what the Dell man says, is right. Normally the AC adapter connector plugs directly into the motherboard, and from there is distributed to all the parts that require it. Motherboard aren't cheap, and it often costs 50 to 75% of the notebooks cost.

if it's related to mother board , it'll cost alot man. GO for some Outlet Dell for better price.

Can you tell exactly which is broken? the power hole or the power plug ?
