I'm looking for a notebook for general tasks and gaming.
This certified refurbished Studio 1745 in dell outlet seems not bad with Core 2 Duo P8700 (2.53GHz)/ 500GB HD (7200 RPM) /4GB SDRAM/ 512MB ATI MHD 4570. Which is $919, and the final price is $ 781 with the 15% off coupon.
Is it a good choice ? I've never bought laptops from dell outlet and need your suggestion. Thanks!

They carry the same warranties as a brand new one. And they are almost unrecognizable from new ones.

That's a big thumbs up if you can fine a good one.

Like slattery69 said, stay away from the scratch and dents. I've bought all my laptops/desktops from the Outlet and I've never had any issues of any sort.

One thing to add. You see a system you like, grab it NOW unless they have lots of the same configuration. You blink and the machine you want is gone.

Both my Vostro 1500 and Studio 1737 were from the outlet, the Vostro was perfect, the Studio has some very minor nicks (About what you would see after a week of use)

Bought the Vostro in the fall of of 2007, the Studio in the fall of 2009. Both are still going strong.
