I'm looking for a notebook for general tasks and gaming.
This certified refurbished Studio 1745 in dell outlet seems not bad with Core 2 Duo P8700 (2.53GHz)/ 500GB HD (7200 RPM) /4GB SDRAM/ 512MB ATI MHD 4570. Which is $919, and the final price is $ 781 with the 15% off coupon.
Is it a good choice ? I've never bought laptops from dell outlet and need your suggestion. Thanks!

They carry the same warranties as a brand new one. And they are almost unrecognizable from new ones.
That's a big thumbs up if you can fine a good one. -
i bought on erecently and you would nt know it wasnt brand new, i think some of them are orders that have been cancelled last min. i got a studio 1555 at a v good price from the uk store, quick delivery and spotless. just remeber to take the tick out of the scratch and dent option on the search facitly

Like slattery69 said, stay away from the scratch and dents. I've bought all my laptops/desktops from the Outlet and I've never had any issues of any sort.

Both my Vostro 1500 and Studio 1737 were from the outlet, the Vostro was perfect, the Studio has some very minor nicks (About what you would see after a week of use)
Bought the Vostro in the fall of of 2007, the Studio in the fall of 2009. Both are still going strong.
how about the refurbished laptops from Dell Outlet?
