when try to attempt Factory Restore via Dell Data Safe, it works like normal that ask you to reboot to begin process of Factory Reset

but upon rebooting, it say something like "disk fail to read", thus the Factory Reset fails

i called the Dell Local and they told me that to get to the factory reset, you need to run the CD that came with it while doing the Dell Local Safe

question: is it true? because i read some other Dell Topics, they say the DVD is only a win7 installer and does not contain a restore software or stock driver

    thanks!

    please help me guys!

is there other way to get it to Factory Reset apart from Dell Local Safe?

    Hey!

When, I do Clean Install, I just use my CD that came with my lappy & it's pretty simple process.

You should use *booboo12's* guide he made "Dell System Recovery Guide" , it's very detailed, and they "stickied" it to the top of the the Dell page here as it's very informative, etc. :)

Here is the LINKY. If you have any questions, just post there/or PM him, and anyone really would be very happy to help you out! ;)

Restart your computer and before getting to the windows start up, repeatedly press F8.. You will brought to the advanced boot menu.. Select "repair my computer" follow the prompts and select restore my computer using "Dell factory image" under "Dell dataSafe" follow the prompts again. You will have it reinstalled just like the day you got it... I just did it to my PC tonight.
