i'm about to format, and want the minimal bloat stuff installed.
i'm just seeing which drivers i NEED.
i notice you can do this with quickset (change powerscheme that is)
but i don't know how else to do this
    surely there's another way?
also, would you recommend me just installing quickset anyway?
    thanks

hehe, it's almost like I'm replying to all your replies/threads. Anyways, the software you need is Dell Quickset(like you mentioned). This includes almost all the non-bloatware, useful apps. It's minimal. It has power schemes, hotkeys, radio control options, internal network card power management and system information. I think it's worth it for just the network power management and hotkeys are pretty much a must.

You can also do it within Control Panel / Power settings (switch to classic view to find it easier)

i use it too and it works great
right now i have my 1505 slightly undervolted and my battery has been lasting around 5.5 hours for basic applications with word processor and some light surfing with the wi-fi on, it added almost an hour to my battery life

be careful with the undervolt though, it took me quite a while to find a stable voltage but i am incredibly happy i did now.
ps, my cpu temp hasnt gone over 40 C since i installed this
    its a miracle worker :)
