    how do i tell if i have a ccfl or led backlight?

    hello everyone,
    i have a dell inspiron 1545 that is a few years old. i think i need to replace my inverter board, but before i do that, i must find out if my screen has an led or ccfl backlight.
    any suggestion would be appreciated. help, please.

    Hi!

    There are a few ways you should be able to tell. One is with LED screens you can see them very well in the sun. The age of the unit is another way to tell because LED screens weren't so popular until recently and even now most units still have ordinary ccfl lamps. The third option, probably the best option, is to look up your model's very specifications on the manufacturer's website. You could also make sure by looking at all flavors of you model if more than one exists to see if they even made your make with an LED screen.
