ive done some research and i just dont really understand how it works. does it need to plug into the tv antenna the way a tv does? does it work well or is it kinda glitchy? is it very taxing on the computer (can i do other things while im watching tv on it?

and most importantly: is it worth the money?

TV tuners need to have a Cable source (coaxial). So you can probably get a few free channels, but expect to pay for cable.

Is it worth it? This depends on how good of a screen you have. If you purchase lower end tuners, the software they come with with be poor.

Of course, if you don't have a TV (like me) and have a good laptop (like me) then its OBVIOUSLY worth it.

I have seen tuners range from 20$ to 150$. Spending approximately 50$ should get a decent to high end tuner.
