very very very simple, unhook the antennas, pop out the card, re-insert the new card, pop the antennas back on.

well you won't get N speeds, beacuse the wireless N card has THREE antennas, while the G has TWO antennas. You'll need to buy a third antenna for the laptop you're putting the wireless N card into. They're about 5~10 bucks online, and easy to install. I've installed my N card, but not the third antenna yet.

the inspiron 1420 has the SIM card slot, but it doesnt has the wan card, dont you think this may be the case fot the m1330? it might have the third antenna by default but just two are being used...

can anybody with a m1330 confirm this?

It does. I already posted earlier in this thread the link to the service manual with step by step instructions on how to remove and replace it specifically for the M1330. Just scroll down or click the link "Wireless Mini Cards"

Just to clarify. There are at least a couple of threads dealing with the 1330 and n with just two antennas. The bottom line is that unless you do a mod yourself (which does not sound that easy) you have only two antennas with the 1330. This will give you n, just maybe not the full speed or coverage. Just to reiterate, you still get n wireless :).

I have a m1330 with an Intel 3945 card and my laptop has the extra antenna. I received this laptop a month after it was introduced. Is Dell only providing 2 antennas now?
