my 1520's w/2.2ghz processor's cpu core temperature runs at about 46-49C on idle and about 42C with the antec notebook cooler.
is that considered normal? what about yours? :D

I haven't checked my temps yet but I plan on getting a notebook cooler anyway. Is the antec notebook cooler any good?

That's decent given the processor you have. My MacBook Pro (same CPU) runs at around 60 idle. Remember that my MBP is much smaller than your 1520, and is made entirely of metal to help conduct heat.

i actually really like the cooler.
some people complain that it doesnt do anything but i can acutally feel the difference. without the cooler the 1520 gets purdy hot on my lap. after placing it on the cooler and the heat is instantly gone. exteriorwise. it lowered my cpu temp about 5C iono if thats really big or not but i think its a decent cooler.
    its not too loud either.
the cooler is made from part aluminun (big plus) and some plastic :\ (plastic is inevitable unless you get notepal or something)
the only thing i dont like is that its quite pricey.

edit: 42C idle and 46-49C w/games CS:S is my gpu temperature lolol
my processor temperature is: core1: 23C and core2: 24C according to speedfan which is a ridiculous low considering its cooler than my desktop with like a bajillion fans lol
