When I ordered my E1505 I received it on the date they said it would ship. They also don't update the info on the site too often and it was marked boxed when I received it, then the next day it showed as shipped.

When your waiting for a new laptop to arrive...too long. In all honesty my shipping was ahead of schedule, it was the build that took up so much time for me (boxing to be specific). Great laptop your getting btw (I love mine).

Most of the time it'll be at your house within 5-7 business days from when you ordered it.

When they put an estimated date of delivery it is usually about 30% conservative. We order stuff under a CFI project from Dell and they said that they do that so that they hit thier target date or better 99% of the time.

the time is probably related to how many orders they are dealing with, and how close you live to a shipping center.

Dell usually overestimates in terms of time. They said my notebook would be at my house in 2 weeks (note, this was during the 7800 Go shortages - I was pretty glad to get my notebook before those hit). Instead it came in 9 days from the date of purchase.
