    how much to overclock 8400?

    how high can i safely overclock the 8400 factoryclock settings are both at 400. i know their is a big thread about it but i cant sort threw it. i dont need to max it out i just want to be able to play stalker well.

    The short answer is that you should try overclocking it incrementally yourself, until either you get the performance you want or it becomes unstable.

    ok thanks, any rough numbers i should go by or what inciments?

    try increasing clock by 3 and memory by 10 at a time. At the beginning you may be able to increase it a little more. You can do them independently, at the same time, etc and figure out what gives you the ideal performance.

    i have it at 450 and 600 and seems to be fine. but every time i restart my PC it goes back to the base settings of 400/400 any way of changing that.
