hey guys,
m abt to recieve my vostro 1400 with vista preinstalld in it(hope i recieve the vista dvd).But as i browsed around,i found tht vista is awefull on gamin and other things.
so i decided to shift to XP for a while keepin vista n without spoilin my media direct options(i mean dual boot).I think its not a general way to do it.
can some 1 provide a tutorial for dell machines.I found few tutorials on net but i am not sure if it worked on dell laptops.

Search. The only issue is driver compatability in XP.
Google search for dualboot XP and Vista. It's 'easier' to have XP pre-installed, then install Vista. -
no ... they didnt provided xp option for vostro 1400.
the drivers for xp in vostro 1400 is the main issue.. had ny1 of yu guys tried it?? -
I wanna know this too. Do we need to integrate a SATA driver into the XP installer to get XP on the vostro's? If so, can anyone recommend a good program that does it?

Thanks for the link buddy! Hopefully the Vostro 1500 uses the same chipset drivers because thats what I have. I need to check on the dell website I think :S
