    hey guys,
m abt to recieve my vostro 1400 with vista preinstalld in it(hope i recieve the vista dvd). But as i browsed around,i found tht vista is awefull on gamin and other things.
so i decided to shift to XP for a while keepin vista n without spoilin my media direct options(i mean dual boot).I think its not a general way to do it.
can some 1 provide a tutorial for dell machines.I found few tutorials on net but i am not sure if it worked on dell laptops.
    cheers

Search. The only issue is driver compatability in XP.

Google search for dualboot XP and Vista. It's 'easier' to have XP pre-installed, then install Vista.

I wanna know this too. Do we need to integrate a SATA driver into the XP installer to get XP on the vostro's? If so, can anyone recommend a good program that does it?

    Cheers
