    Hey guys!
i'm on an older Dell inspiron 5150 and all of a sudden the i key won't function at all. it may be because of a stuck key but i'm not positive that's the problem. at startup my notebook beeps loudly and follows correct startup procedure but the beeping is not normal and the i key does not work at all!
    Please help me!!

Try making sure the connection between the keyboard and the motherboard hasn't come loose. To do this, you can look at the service manual on dell.com, support section, they should have instructions on removing the keyboard.

A replacement keyboard may be an option:

You could also consider whether it might be getting to be about time for a new laptop.
