I'm supposed to recieve my 6000 today..
I configured the same exact model yesterday on their site, and it was about $65 less...
Does anyone think I should try to call and get a freebie or two, or $65 refund, or something?
(I do see the wise customer-service rep's conversation with me as...
Rep: "No problem, go ahead and send it back; I will make a new order for you, and you will be receiving it within 2 weeks
Me: "It is the same exact machine, just $65 less in price."
Rep: "Yes"
Me: "You have to build a whole new computer to knowck $65 of the price?"
Rep: "Yes"
...silence..
(I had this happen when I attached AccidentCare warranty to my laptop when it was "in production")
It's the principle of the thing!![]()

Sure, they should give it to you. If they don't budget, tell them you want to return it and re-order. It's in their best interest to make it right with you without that hassle.

I would aim to get a freebie upgrade of sorts. I know that $65 in Dell's eyes isn't much, but you should try and get something else from them. It is up to you if it is worth the hassle of sending the old one back and re-ordering.
i'm not cheap! but
