I ordered one with similar specs as well; estimate ship date is 5/21 though :( . Be sure to tell us how the WUXGA screen is, I'm kinda afraid of what I'll get :D.

I know what you mean. I was thrilled to get an XPS M1530. I waited 9 days, and I couldn't get it off my mind. I finally have it now and I love it... :D

From your sig I see you're getting the WUXGA screen. Can you please post the Dell part number and the hardware ID when you get it?

    Thanks

can you tell me how i find part number?

    hardware id: SEC3255

I love it, it's excellent and quick, gonna format it and get rid of all the bloatware.

    quick review

Battery: as i got the 9 cell battery aint had the chance to see how long it last, but it doest raise the system but i prefer the system raised.

Sound: some users had reported that the speaker quality was crap, but i find it's fine. also no whiney noise which is good.

Monitor: very nice and sharp, will try out a movie tonight and tell you how it goes

Keyboard: feels very silky and soft, thumbs up dell great job.

    Speed: very quick system

Remote: very nice and cool design hidden away where u cannot see it.

webcam: no lag whatsoever, quality is awesome and software provided with it looks kool

Mobile: no chance to test this yet

finger print: dont really plan on using this feature.

as previously mentioned this system was to replace my faulty system, on the faulty one the media button you had to press down pretty hard, but on this new one, they are feather touch, dont know dell have revised this within the past month.

if you have any questions please ask

Wow its so small and beautiful, the screen too, and given that I ordered the 1680x1050 screen I am right to be extremely happy :D

The part number would be on your invoice or you can get it from your online Dell account. Log on to your account, Go to Support, Go to My Systems & Peripherals and enter your service tag. You will be able to view all components part number.

    Thanks

You are the first one to write about your experience with the 1920x1200 sreen on 1530m, as far as I am concerned. So can you please share more details about the screen - i.e. is black really black or more dark greyish.

I am thinking about going for the 1920x1200...

imo the screen is excellent, there is no light escaping from bottom like my inspiron 6400 had where on black background especially on load up the lower half of the screen was much whiter.

Very sharp screen, gonna download a HD movie and see what it's like layta, man utd are playing tonight so going downstairs to watch it.

i've included a pic of the invoice attached is a screenshot of the desktop

UPDATE: just been runnning a black background in full screen mode, i can confirm that black is back and darkgrey or whiteness.... grin from ear to ear.... now all i need is for united to beat barcelona and that'll make my night.

I think that's your packing list. Normally the invoice arrives later.

If you can look into your dell account with your service tag for the part number that would be great.

    Thanks
