    Title explains most of it...

Budget - can vary, but to make it less vague... revolves around 1700 Euros. This will be my 2nd laptop and it will be used for college and at home (daily) (CAD/casual/Games - 6970m pretty much explains my intention of playing Crysis 2 on close to max)

Of course, there are other things that I should mention.
the following are to be desired:
    -full HD screen 15"/17" (1920 x 1080) (MATTE maybe?)
-1 to 3 year warranty plans (with future extension options)(also would like to know if it is worth it to opt for a 3 year warranty plan from the start? or should I go for standard 1 year and upon expiry ---> extend)
-RAM and HDD are not a priority (upgradable)
-standard DVD burner should be ok.
-Win OS (probably should not even mention this)

I have always been fond of Alienware, but never really looked keen upon European prices… Even made some calculations and in most cases I get a cheaper deal if I ship from the US (with all the shipping and headaches). Any advice?
Eagerly waiting for the m18x to pop out.
I am also aware of brands such as Schenker, DevilTech and mySN (Sager and Clevo builds), but I don’t really know much about them and/or if they are worth buying…if so, please share your experience and recommendations.
Refurbished laptops are also considered (with a warranty... obviously).
Battery life is not really relevant here...I don't expect much from a 70-100W guzzling GPU.
I would prefer to see it before purchase... but I know that this may be difficult... I trust in your recommendations and experience if this is not possible.
The build quality doesn't really need to be exceptional... but decent.
Purchase period... May-June (even a later date possibly)

Life expectancy of this laptop... well, as long as possible... maybe suitable for selling it after 2 years or so...
I hope the above mentioned sum up what I am aiming for. I did document a bit before posting this so if you need any other details to help out with the search… please fire away.
