    Hello all,
I'm having a wierd situation. I recently bought a new dell battery for my i8200. something that's never happended before but when inserted it doesn't have the 10sec led flicker so I opened the power options in the Cp and looked at the icon on the battery (power metter tab) and it shows it with a red X on it while having a a turquise lightning sign on it. I used it in the other bay and the same thing happens. I tried this with my older battery and it does the same. It does charge but it takes it forever ...over 3 days to get it up to 100%. I also removed the PA-9 from the back and it held a charge for 3 minutes before shutting down. My old one holds a charge for about 20 minutes. I've never noticed this before and when i got it a little over a year it did have the 10 sec flicker but a while ago I had a problem with NB not turning on. I brought to a tech who fixed it..or so I thought. i took it home tried to power it up but to no avail. I called him and he came by. He messed around with it and then he pressed down hard on the keyboard with the palm of his hand. I was quite surprised at this and he said sometimes things don't sit well and this helps it. Looks primitive but it worked. anyways, the next 2 days was trouble with the computer turning off randomly. I spoke to him and got BS excuses from him. I took matters in my own hands and took apart the NB. I took it apart and examined every piece to see if something looked abnormal. I found something, it was a spacer that goes between 2 cards. It came off..it sits right below the GPU so i'm guessing that it kept shorting the NB. I used some cement glue and reconnected and voila it turned right on. So I think from some info I checked it may be the charging bord that needs replacing. I spoke to dell and they're opinion was the mobo needs to be replaced since it battery connection is showing them not connected..So what's going on now? i just checked my old battery and it hold 20. i just drained it just to see, and when looking at the power matter tab icon it shows it with a red X and a blue turquise lightning on it. When it'll charge all the way the red X will disapear..I need help.
    Any opinions appreciated..
