First, does anyone know where I can get the 8600's power adapter on Dell's website, I was browsing the extra peripherals for 8600 but no dice. So if you can kindly direct me to the 65 w power adapter, thanks.

Second, the cord between the brick and laptop has been cut a little bit. The two cuts were shallow and wide and tiny metal wires have been broken apart and I can see a white layer beneathe. I covered it up with electrical tape and it seems to work fine yet I worry about possible negative effects this may have on the laptop because of those separated metal wires. Can someone confirm or ease my fears?

    Thanks.
