    Hi there,

I've just ordered an inspiron 9100 (3.0 GHz) with the WUXGA display but I'm having some second thoughts. I'm worried that the WUXGA is too troublesome to use for most games which run well below the native WUXGA resolution. From a gaming standpoint, would I be better off getting the 3.2 GHz with the WSXGA+ for the same money, or is the WUXGA the way to go?

And I guess the other part of my question is, I placed my order at around noon (EDT) today (Sept. 6th), how much time do I have to change my order?

Well, after considerable hassle, I got them to give me the 3.2 GHz with the WSXGA+, just to be on the safe side. There seems to be way fewer headaches with that display.

Sorry for the delayed response, but I think you made the wise choice. I would have done the same.

I got the 3.2Ghz WSXGA and it works GREAT on games. Not once have I wanted to turn up the resolution, in windows XP its as high as I would want it without squinting at the icons.

Get the 1gig ram and MR9800 vid card too and beat out most desktops.
