So I took advantage of the overlapping $750 off deal with the new i9300 that was only available via a link, and bought my first laptop.

I believe the i9200 could drive a 1600x1200 monitor. Anyone know if the new one (I ordered the 128MB X300 card) can do higher? I have a couple HP 23" wide screen LCDs that run at 1920x1200, and it would be cool to be able to hook one of them up.

Hey, I did the same last night. The overlap as you say worked great and I only paid 1200 or so for a nice laptop.

I cant answer your question, but why dont you upgrade the video card to the x600 or nvidia. I know it is a little more but according to all that i have read, it is worth it. I got the 256 nvidia and is major reason for buying this model vs. i6000.

i hope mine is being built before yours.. ha just kidding.

Haha! Maybe that 6800 will slow yours down... I don't really game, so no big deal. I didn't see an x600 as an option. Two X300s and the 6800. Oh well.
