Masters thesis due very soon, and I cracked my 17" wuxga panel. Need all that pixelage for analysis and writeup. This couldn't have happened at a worse time.

Laptop should still be under warranty, but I doubt it'll cover LCD cracks. The laptop was bought in NY, but i'm in Netherlands at the moment.

How can I get a new 17" wuxga panel? i suppose my options are LG, Samsung? Is sony's x-brite an option? Price ranges, delivery? Folks who would ship it to Europe? I'd really appreciate any help from you guys who've already looked into a similar issue.

I'd do it myself, except I can't spend a day or two right now doing internet search on this stuff. I need to go on working on my thesis. But at the same time, want to order the panel soonest, so that I can get back to working on the laptop efficiently.

Thank you very much for helping guys.

borrow a monitor, plug it in and use it for your screen. then, when you have a moment to breathe and search out service/repair, you can do it at your leisure.

yes, that's what i've done. except that now i'm tied to my room, and can't work in the library. i can make that work for two to three days until i get in a new LCD. but i need to get my laptop functional again as i'll be using it for my defense talk.
