    under my hardware, it just says i have a standard plug and play monitor...is there a driver for my specific monitor for my laptop?....i dont know what brand the screen is.....its the ultra bright or whatever screen ...1900X 1200...

    Are you talking about in the device manager? Your LCD driver is actually your video card driver, which for the 1900 x 1200 would be nVidia 6800. It should be listed under display adapters. Under monitor, it will show "default monitor".
